Book Description
Things are running smoothly in the village for Mamboleo until certain changes begin to take place as the village is getting developed. To Mamboleo, development, as it is explained to him, is simply confusion. He doesn't accept any of the proposals the local divisional officer, Mr. Njuguna, makes as a move to improve life for the villagers. Mamboleo has a rude experience at the health department in the name of treatment, a matter he is not willing to forget. With his son Sumba away from home for many years because of school and the loss of his herd, Mamboleo has had enough and he is determined to fight this so-called development which, to his dismay, has been embraced even by his own sister Amboko.
