About the Author
Ilya Zeldes was born in 1933 in Baku, Azerbaijan. In 1955, he graduated with a J.D. degree from the Azerbaijan Law School and in 1969 received a PH.D. degree in Forensic Sciences from the Moscow University in Russia. In 1976, the Zeldes family immigrated to the United States. For sixteen years, Ilya was employed by the South Dakota Attorney General's Office. After his retirement in 1993, Ilya and his wife Emma settled in Fort Myers, Florida.
