Book Description
Any abuse leaves untold scars. It can become difficult for victims to come to terms with what they have suffered, never mind forgive and forget, as so many are encouraged to do.
Ce. Dey frankly shares her horrifying stories of abuse not only as a child, but also as an adult, abuse she experienced in all ways at the hands of her own mother and other family members as well as later in life at the hands of her husband and co-workers. In doing so, she says, "I am Purging My Soul so I can go on with my life." With brutal language she recalls the horrific events as if it happened yesterday and adds to the memories what she was thinking and feeling as she suffered at the hands of her tormentors.
This painfully personal glimpse into the world of the abuse victim gives great insight into the forces that shape young lives into the adults they eventually become.
