About the Author
Captain Gene I. Basel is, (during the time of the story) an 11 year veteran of the Air Force. After being wounded and hospitalized, he returned to active duty, serving 23 years flying the F-105D and the A-7D until retirement in 1979. He presently resides in St. Petersburg Florida with his ex-wife and two daughters.
