About the Author
BARRETT TILLMAN is a noted military historian and the author of more than thirty books, including Above and Beyond: The Aviation Medals of Honor, Hellcat Aces of World War II, and Hellcats: A Novel of War in the Pacific (Brassey's, Inc., 1996). Tillman's books have been on professional reading lists of the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Marine Corps. He lives in Mesa, Arizona.
