About the Author
CSM Towe was born in Walhalla, SC in 1926. He earned the Silver Star and the Combat Infantryman Badge while in combat in Korea where he was severely wounded and awarded the Purple Heart. He distinguished himself by exceptional meritorious service and galantry in action in Vietnam where he received the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star for valor and the Army Commendation Medal again for valor. At the present time, Glenn and his wife Marian live in their home in Walhalla SC that is located about 200 yards from where they were married and approximately two miles from where he was born.
