Scott Bowden, a lifelong student of Gettysburg and the Civil War, is the highly acclaimed author of several excellent works in Napoleonic history. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University, and makes his home in Arlington, Texas. Bill Ward is a political science professor at the University of Texas. Like his co-author, he is both a lifelong student of the Civil War and a native of Texas. This is his first book.
