This unique volume explores the relationship between the USAAF and Sweden during WWII. More than 1,400 American airmen landed in Sweden or in its coastal waters during the War. For the majority, the country offered the sole chance of refuge when their striken aircraft were unable to make the return flight to their British bases. Each incident is highlighted in detail, along with accounts of the aircraft and crew.
