About the Author
Aaron Sheehan-Dean is Associate Professor of History at the University of North Florida. He has devoted most of his academic career to the study of the American Civil War and has had many journals and essays published on various themes surrounding the conflict. He is a frequent lecturer at societies and conferences on the Civil War, including the Virginia Military Institute.
