Lieutenant-Colonel David Last is an artillery officer, Canadian Forces, acting chair, Military Strategic Studies, and associate professor of political science, Royal Military College Lieutenant-Colonel Bernd Horn is an active duty infantry officer, Canadian Forces and adjunct associate professor of history, Royal Military College of Canada (RMC). He is also the author of Hook Up!: The Canadian Airborne Compendium of Activities, Exercises and Operations, 1940-2000, Bastard Sons: Canada's Airborne Experience, 1942-1995 and many other books.
