Who are Arab Americans? Where do they live? The Encyclopedia gives students answers to these questions and introduces them to the early history of the Arab peoples and the Arab immigration to the United States.
Other subject chapters include work and money; education; family and gender; religion; language; political involvement and community dynamics; and much more. Unfamiliar terms are defined within the text of each chapter as well as in the "Words to Know" section. Includes approximately 60 photographs; reproductions of original documents and maps; lists of books, periodicals, Web sites and organizations for further study.
