Terrorists and Terrorism in the Contemporary World (The Making of the Contemporary World)
Editorial Reviews
Book Description
Terrorists and Terrorism in the Contemporary World is an accessible introduction to terrorists and their psychology in an historical context. Focusing on a variety of prominent terrorist groups together with a number of less notorious ones, readers are encouraged to think about the mindset, motivation, and tactics of terrorists. David J. Whittaker also discusses the problems of countering these terrorists.
Taking into account the importance of the thinking and persuasions of terrorists in earlier years, the book also links contemporary terrorists with those who came before them. The very topical discussion of possible future forms of terrorism is also analyzed.
