1922. Habits and customs of the past that still live in the present. The author attempts to bring together a collection of forms, habits, ceremonies and customs reminiscent of the days that are past. The information contained within can be had from many sources and the author makes no claim at originality. Many of the customs were personally investigated by Williamson. His aim was simply to bring together, for the sake of interest and convenience, many of the strange survivals as seemed important to mention to create a volume of references to old customs still remaining in England. --This text refers to the Paperback edition.
